The FIP Senior World Cup has reached its climax in Buenos Aires — the tournament’s first-ever edition on South American soil. Spain will contest both finals, facing the USA in the women’s event and Argentina in the men’s. The USA is appearing in its first-ever final after a dramatic 3-2 semi-final win over Belgium. Argentina, the defending champions, will look to claim the title in front of a home crowd against a Spanish side that has been dominant throughout the competition.

The Scottish Open Padel Championships concluded in Glasgow this weekend, with Finals Day broadcast live on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website — the first time the broadcaster has shown padel. The event, part of the LTA British Padel Tour, featured a £4,000 prize pot and top players from across Britain and Europe.
European World Cup Qualifiers in Madrid
Starting 22 September, Madrid hosts the European qualifiers for the 2026 FIP World Cup. 55 national teams from 29 countries will compete for four remaining spots (two men’s, two women’s) at the finals in Doha, Qatar (2–7 November). For Bulgaria, the women’s team will make its international debut — a historic milestone for the country’s padel development.
China: Padel Featured at China Open Kickoff
Padel was included in the 2026 China Open Kickoff Series at the National Tennis Center in Beijing on 12–13 September. The event featured a dedicated Padel Elite Tournament, showcasing the sport alongside tennis and pickleball to a mainstream Chinese audience ahead of the China Open.
