Padel Court Lighting: Why Glare and Uniformity Matter More Than Brightness Alone

Why Glare Can Become a Problem

Glare occurs when bright light enters the player’s field of view in an uncomfortable way. In a fast sport, that can become more noticeable when players look upward or track the ball against a bright background.

ArtPadel’s lighting design is based on parallel installation to the ground for its sports-lighting configuration, with the goal of reducing direct glare and unnecessary upward light spill.

Uniformity Matters for the Whole Court

Current ArtPadel configurations in the 2026 catalog include combinations such as 4 x 300 W / approximately 400 lux and 4 x 400 W / approximately 533 lux, depending on model. Other specialist configurations are available as well, so the final lighting specification should be tied to the exact court and project requirement.

Heat Management Is Part of Lighting Reliability

LED performance is connected to thermal management. ArtPadel technical materials describe aluminum-alloy housings to help dissipate heat and SMD light-source technology. For a buyer, this is another reminder that the fixture housing matters. A sports light is a piece of equipment, not just a bulb with a cable attached.
