June 2026 marked a turning point for padel in China.
The Event
FIP GOLD SHANGHAI — the first FIP Gold-level padel tournament ever held in China — took place from June 10–14 at the Jiangwan International Padel Center in Yangpu District . The tournament featured men’s and women’s doubles, with a 32-team knockout draw .
The Results
Chinese players delivered record-breaking performances. Four Chinese pairs reached the Round of 16 — the best result ever by Chinese players at an FIP Gold event . The tournament also marked China’s formal entry into the world professional padel circuit .
