You’ve invested in a high-quality padel court. The glass is gleaming, the LED lights are perfectly aligned, and the turf feels flawless underfoot.
But here’s the question: how do you keep it that way?
Even the best artificial turf requires regular care to maintain its performance, safety, and appearance. Neglect it, and you’ll face uneven bounce, slippery surfaces, and premature replacement.
At ART Padel, we engineer our artificial turf for durability – but we also want our clients to get the most out of their investment. Here’s a simple, practical maintenance guide to keep your padel court playing like new, year after year.
Leaves, twigs, dust, and sand can accumulate quickly, affecting both the look and playability of the court. Over time, organic debris can even lead to mold or mildew growth.
What to do: Use a leaf blower or a stiff broom to clear the surface daily. This simple step takes just a few minutes but makes a world of difference.

Artificial grass fibers naturally flatten over time, especially in high-traffic areas. Flattened fibers mean inconsistent ball bounce and reduced shock absorption.
What to do: Brush the turf against the fiber direction using a specialized artificial grass brush. This keeps the fibers upright, maintains uniform bounce, and helps redistribute the sand infill evenly.

3.Monthly: Rinse and Inspect Drainage
For outdoor courts, rain naturally cleans the turf – but it can also clog drainage systems with debris. Poor drainage leads to water pooling, slippery surfaces, and potential turf damage.
What to do: Rinse the turf with water using a simple diffuser (for indoor courts, once a month is sufficient). Check that drainage outlets are clear and water flows through efficiently.
4.Quarterly: Check Infill Levels
Silica sand infill is what gives a padel court its grip, ball bounce, and player safety. Over time, infill settles or gets displaced – especially in high-use areas.
What to do: Check the infill depth regularly and top it up when needed. Proper infill levels ensure consistent cushioning and optimal performance.
5.Annually: Professional Inspection
Even with regular care, some issues aren’t visible to the untrained eye – micro-cracks in the backing, compacted infill layers, or hidden drainage problems.
What to do: Schedule a professional maintenance check once a year. A thorough inspection can catch small problems before they become expensive repairs.
